Nationally Accredited Course In Onsite Drug & Alcohol Testing
Drug Test Australia regularly provides nationally accredited training in Breath, Urine and Oral Fluids testing. This training will enable participants to conduct onsite drug and alcohol screening as per the Australian Standards (AS3547-1997, AS4760-2006, and AS/NZS4308:2008). Training equipment complies with Australian Standards (validation certificates available). At DTA we believe this course should only be delivered by NATA accredited ISO 15189 facilities which deliver procedural excellence and credibility to your Collection Technicians.
These sessions are designed to educate individuals about the implementation of a drug and alcohol policy in the workplace and how it will affect them personally. The session covers the effects of drugs and alcohol on the individual, implications of use in the workplace and will be tailored to specifically introduce all aspects of your company policy to the workforce to generate understanding and acceptance among all workers. The session will also cover the actual process of drug and alcohol testing as it applies to employees and is ideal for the introduction of drug and alcohol policies, or in the reimplementation of existing policies.
This session focuses on educating participants in the effects and impacts of drugs and alcohol on an individual, the possible signs and symptoms of someone who is impaired and how to respond appropriately when confronted by such an individual. The session provides information on how to deal with people under the influence of different drugs (legal and illegal) and/or alcohol in order to minimize harm or aggression to those involved and also to create awareness of other potential contributing factors, such as fatigue, illness or disability, which can provide confusion as to whether an individual is impaired or not.
